Kyūshū Flying Squirrel is a type of mammal Friend that appeared in the original Kemono Friends mobile game.
Appearance
Kyūshū Flying Squirrel has very fair skin with rich brown eyes that have a mischievous glint. Her short, shoulder length hair is ruffled and unkempt. The hair starts as a dark brown at the top and gradients to a cocoa brown. Two long, cream colored bangs frame her face while three smaller bangs rest on her forehead. The two on the sides are tan. Her tiny ears poke out at the top of her head.
She wears a warm brown, long-sleeved sailor-style shirt that has a fluffy collar. The shoulders are a dark brown. There is a dark purple tie with two white zigzag stripes on her chest. Connecting the arms and sides of the shirt is a "wing flap" that the real life animal is known for.
Her skirt is the same dark purple as her tie and is also in the sailor-style like her shirt. The leggings start as a light brown and gradually turn dark brown. Her gloves and Mary Jane shoes are the same shade of dark brown. The tail is long and fluffy, and starts as the same dark brown as her hair with a light brown tip.

In Real Life
The Kyūshū flying squirrel (pronounced KYOO-shoo) is a species of flying squirrel and one of the giant flying squirrels in the genus Petaurista. It is native to Japan, where it can be found in sub-alpine forests and boreal evergreen forests. Specifically, it inhabits the islands of Honshu, Shikoku and Kyūshū.
Like all flying squirrels, it has a web of skin between its legs (called a patagium) which it uses to glide between trees. The tail is used to maintain stability while gliding.
They are rather small animals; their bodies are around 25–50 cm long (10-20 inches), and the tail adds a further 30–40 cm (11-15 inches). The average weight is 700 and 1500g (1-3 lbs.)
Fruits and nuts make up most of the diet, and they make their homes in tree holes.
This flying squirrel reaches sexual maturity at around 2 years old, with breeding season lasting from late winter to early summer. The females bear their young after about 74 days in early autumn, with litters consisting of one or two kits.
