South African Giraffe has a green skirt. Both her scarf and her leggings have a classic Giraffe design, with a light brown/yellow background with darker brown spots. The ends of her scarf taper to white.

The Southern African Giraffe was discovered in 1784 by Johann Christian Daniel von Schreber. Individuals live in savannahs and woodlands. Rough estimates put the population of the Southern African Giraffe to be around 35,000 Southern African Giraffes individuals remaining.
Trivia
- IUCN currently recognises only one species of giraffe with nine subspecies. However, a 2020 study showed that depending on the method adopted, different taxonomic hypotheses recognizing from two to six species can be considered for the genus Giraffe.
- South African Giraffe is categorized as a subspecies of Southern giraffe under three or four species taxonomies; as a giraffe species under eight species taxonomy.
