The Arabian Oryx is a mammalian Friend who first appeared in the original Kemono Friends mobile game.
Appearance
Arabian Oryx has mostly white hair with several brown spots down the center and brown bangs on the sides. The underside of her ears are also brown. She has small, feather-like hairs on the topmost brown spot, representing horns. She wears a militaristic white shirt with a dull blue-gray striped tie, with a skirt of roughly the same color. Brown handless gloves with white, buttoned cuffs cover her hands.
She has thighhigh socks that are intially white and fade into brown approaching the knees. She has white and black boots with a white ribbon and wields a double edged spear-like weapon, whose ends resemble an oryx's horns. The shaft of the spear itself is black. Her tail and ears resemble those of the Arabian oryx, similar to other Friends who also exhibit these features.

The Arabian oryx (Oryx leucoryx), also known as the white oryx, is a bovid native to the deserts and steppes of the mainland Arabian Peninsula, which consists of the nations of Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates (or UAE) and Yemen, as well as the southern portions of the nations of Iraq and Jordan. They are well-suited to life on this harsh terrain, with both internal and external adaptations allowing them to thrive under conditions where most large animals might struggle. The light coloration of their coats minimizes the amount of sunlight absorbed by their bodies, and their cloven hooves allow for traction on uneven or coarse ground such as sand, gravel, or scree. They are capable of running at high speeds on such terrain, and possess considerable endurance, which helps to protect them from the majority of predators. Inside of the oryx, a network of arteries and veins called the rete mirabile helps the oryx to exchange heat between its warm arterial blood and the blood from its sinus cavities, cooled by the nasal intake of air; this system is found in many vertebrates, but works overtime for desert-dwellers such as the oryx. When it intends to rest, the oryx uses its hooves to dig shallow depressions in soft ground, under the shade of shrubs or trees, in which to lay down.
A typical adult Arabian oryx stands about 1 meter (3.2 ft) high at the shoulder and weighs about 70 kilograms. Its coat is, as aforementioned, light in color, being typically anywhere from a bright white to cream or light gray; the undersides and legs are brown, and black stripes and patches occur on the animal's forehead, snout, nose, brow ridges, neck, and cheeks. Both males and females have long, slightly-curved horns which can be anywhere from 60 to an amazing 150 centimeters (about 2 to 5 feet) in length, meaning they can be considerably longer than the oryx is tall; these are used in self-defense and, in the case of males, for intraspecific combat, such as in disputes over territory claims and mating rights.
The Arabian oryx's diet consist mainly of grasses, as these tend to be available year-round, but they will partake in a large variety of vegetation as opportunity permits: buds, herbs, fruits, tubers, and roots are all readily taken. Arabian oryx are able to detect the infrequent rains in its habitat from a great distance, and herds of these animals will follow these rains to consume the new plants that grow in their wake. The number of individuals in a typical herd can vary greatly; the average size for a larger herd is 10-15 individuals, but herds of 100 or more animals have been reported in the past.
