The Blue Wildebeest, also sometimes referred to as the common wildebeest, is a large antelope defined by their muscular body, heavy mane, and thick muzzle. They travel in large migratory herds with thousands of members. They spend most of their time grazing on short grass, which can prove to be a problem as it limits them to areas where water is abundant. They can also survive off the moisture from melon and tubers, when there is no water around. This dependence on water is what drives their commonly-seen mass migration.
