They are herbivore, they usually eat lichens, young leaves, fruits or seeds, buds, mature leaves, herbs, bark, and flowers, this diet varies from season to season. The Golden Snub-Nosed monkey is the princpal species, there's three sub-species known as The Black Snub-nosed monkey, The Grey Snub-Nosed Monkey and The Tonkin Snub-Nosed Monkey.
The Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey can be found in groups of five to ten monkey. The Social organization of this species is quite difficult. The Male is generally alone surrounded by females, he may stay away from the groups. The Females prefer to stay with the other females and try to socialize. Conflict can be provoked with an another groups.
