Sandstar

Sandstar (Japanese:サンドスター Hepburn:Sandosutā) is a substance that transforms animals into Friends.

Overview

Sandstar is often found in a solid state, where it resembles rainbow-colored crystals. But sandstar comes from volcanoes such as the one found in the later development of the Kyōshū Region, similarly to Cellium. Sandstar is degraded Cellium and can be described as the corpse of a Cellien (note that Celliens are not living creatures). Due to differences in their degradation processes, Sandstar primarily exists in two forms: particles and blocks. When Celliens degrade naturally, Cellium becomes Sandstar particles; when forcibly destroyed, it becomes Sandstar blocks. The term “pakkān” used for exterminating Celliens originates from the sound Celliens make when transforming into Sandstar blocks. Sandstars not only have the ability to produce Friends, but also to act on space, altering temperature, humidity, and sunlight.
