一口にシマウマと言っても、住む場所などでいくつかの種類に分類されます。特徴的な縞模様にも違いがあり、模様は大きく分けで４種あります。サバンナシマウマは後半身の縞模様の幅が広く、お腹まで模様が伸びているのが特徴です。 「どうしてシマシマになったのか、ですか？うーん······なんとなく？あー、でもこれ意外と見つかりにくいから便利ですよ。今日もライオンさん、気がつかなかったし♪」

Although you may call them zebras in short, there are actually several species with different traits and locations. Even their distinctive striped coat has variations, with a total of four broad patterns. The plains zebra can be distinguished by the wider stripes on its lower body, which extend to its stomach. "How'd I become a Plains Zebra? Umm... By chance, I guess? Well, it actually turned out to be pretty convenient, since it makes me harder to find. Lion-san still didn't notice me today ♪"

How to Encounter

Plains Zebra was considered one of the hardest original Friends to encounter in the game; the player will likely not encounter her at all if one does not have any of her favoured Playthings. Annoyingly, many of her rateups are on limited-time playthings (such as the Heart Table, Blue Heart Floatie and Sakura Tree). However, with the Parasol now being craftable extremely cheaply (10 Rough Steel), it is now easier to get as least a moderate amount of spawns for her, along with the relatively-elusive Komodo Dragon and Malayan Tapir.

The Park-Print Parasol is somewhat effective, although it is recommended you use another item to attract Hippopotamus and prevent her from inevitably spawning multiples times on it.. Getting multiples of either parasol will maximise her encounter rate while accounting for the multitude of other Friends that the umbrellas can attract, although this is an unlikely for the Park-Print due to it being a 4-star. Alternatively, the Mountain of Barrels can also attract her.

She almost never appears in other areas as her encounter rate outside Savannah area is tremendously low (almost as rare as Tsuchinoko without Rock Piles and/or the UMA Boat).

Unique Behavior

• しましま数え (Stripe Count) - Stands under the Parasol, counting the stripes.
• 立って寝る (Sleeping Upright) - Sleeps standing up under the Park-Print Parasol. After a while, she starts to fall forwards before waking up and catching herself.
