Atlantic Puffin is a Friend who appears in Kemono Friends Pavilion.

Personality

As Atlantic Puffin only made a brief cameo in the 2017 anime, her personality here is closer to her Nexon Game counterpart. Besides snacking, she also enjoys flying, swimming, singing and dancing a lot. She is almost eternally happy as seen in her Kemotalks as well.

Description

Japanese

English

While this animal is often mistaken for a penguin due to its waddling movement and swimming ability, it belongs to a different family, and it is also able to fly. Its Japanese name is "Nishi Tsunome Dori" (Western Horned Bird), but "puffin" is the name used by locals in its habitat, where it is popular and beloved. "Flying, swimming, and walking little by little! That's Puffin-chan. My heart's always full of Japari Chips! Puffin-chan's idea of happiness is having lots to eat. So please share your snacks with Puffin-chan!"

How to Encounter

Atlantic Puffin can be encountered with ease in the Waterfront area. She has a high spawn rate at the Stage Lighting and various water Playthings there, such as the UMA Boat and the Blue Heart Floatie. However, outside of the Waterfront area, the player will find it much more difficult getting her to spawn. She seems to sometimes appear on the Mountain of Barrels, even if it is used outside the Waterfront.

Unique Behavior

• ダンス (Dance) - Does a dance under the Stage Lighting.
• うまく乗せられるかな？ (???) - Super Unique Behavior, with Tufted Puffin on the Wobbling Tower of Sweets.

Trivia

• Atlantic Puffin's in-game model was altered on March 1st, 2018, due to inconsistencies with her official art. The change was made to her gloves, which were flesh-colored rather than white. The change, however, is barely visible, even with comparisons.
