A list of all Friends based on large, social pantherine cats which represent the species Panthera leo, and are commonly known as lions. Endemic to Africa, the Middle East, and India, lions are distinguished by their tight-knit social structure—the complex nature of which is unique among the cats—and the thick manes typically, though not exclusively, found around the necks of males.
This list also includes some collab Friends who are based on lions. This list does not include Friends of species which are often colloquially called lions but are not members of Panthera leo, such as Cougar (Puma concolor), or which were once thought to represent Panthera leo before new studies placed them in their own groups, such as European Cave Lion (Panthera spelaea).
