A list of all Friends based on large odd-toed ungulates representing the superfamily Rhinocerotoidea, the members of which can be referred to collectively as rhinoceroses or rhinos. Within this superfamily can be found the family Rhinocerotidae, which are thus sometimes known as the true rhinoceroses; Rhinocerotidae is the only extant family within Rhinocerotoidea, and is composed of the huge, one-to-two-horned extant mammals most people recognize as rhinoceroses. To avoid confusion and mark the distinction of the true rhinos, some taxonomists prefer to refer only to members of Rhinocerotidae as "rhinoceroses", while the whole Rhinocerotoidea superfamily can be referred to as rhinocerotoids.

Many extinct rhinocerotoids are known to paleontologists, including Paraceratherium, which was one of the largest terrestrial mammals to ever live and whose Friend counterpart is included on the list below.
