Idol Humboldt Penguin is a Friend that appears in Kemono Friends Festival during the "Everyone's Idol! Colorful Hululu!" event as a banner Friend.
Role in the Plot
Humboldt Penguin wearing the costume that Indian Peafowl and Gray Crowned Crane collaborated to create at the suggestion of Daito Fruit Bat during the event. Indian Peafowl and Gray Crowned Crane asked Humboldt Penguin to wear it at the live concert, but Humboldt Penguin was hesitant to soil it and took it home.

Friends who created the colorful part of the costume. At first, she was at odds with Gray Crowned Crane when she tried to make a colorful costume only. At the suggestion of Daito Fruit Bat, she made a partially colorful costume together with Gray Crowned Crane and presented it to Humboldt Penguin.
Gray Crowned Crane
Friends who created the fluffy part of the costume. At first, she was at odds with Indian Peafowl when she tried to make a costume only for the fluffy part. At the suggestion of Daito Fruit Bat, she and Indian Peafowl made a partially fluffy costume and presented it to the Humboldt Penguin.
Daito Fruit Bat
Friends who advised on the completion of the costume. Since she was not actually involved in the production, she was not present when Humboldt Penguin put on the costumes. Humboldt Penguin do not know that she was also involved.

Trivia
- The reason why the costume is rainbow-colored is thought to come from the fact Indian Peafowl have structural colors in their feathers, which look like seven different colors when the conditions are right.
- The fluffy costume is thought to be derived from the fact that Gray Crowned Crane have distinctive feathers on their foreheads and tops of their heads.
