A list of all Friends based on the toothed whales known as dolphins. The term "dolphin" is somewhat informal, and refers to members of five families found among the infraorder Cetacea: the oceanic dolphins of Delphinidae, the New World river dolphins of Iniidae, the Chinese river dolphins of Lipotidae, the Indian river dolphins of Platanistidae, and the brackish-water dolphins of Pontoporiidae.
This loose grouping includes some cetaceans not commonly thought of as dolphins, such as the orca, which belongs to the Delphinidae.
