A list of all Friends based on primates commonly referred to as monkeys, these being the Old World monkeys of the parvorder Cercopithecidae and the New World monkeys of the parvorder Platyrrhini.

While some definitions of the term "monkey" state it as being synonymous with "simian", so as to refer to all Simiiformes, more common usage excludes the superfamily Hominoidea—commonly referred to as apes—from this definition, so as to create a distinction between monkeys and apes.
