In Real Life
Spot-Billed Ducks are a species of duck distributed through eastern Asia. They are about 60 cm in length, with their wingspan being around 80 cm. Their body is brown-gray, presenting a scaly pattern, a green distinctive wing patch, some white feathers in their wings and a dark bill tipped with yellow. This species lives in lakes, ponds, streams and other inland and coastal wetlands, building their nests in vegetation next to water.
Spot-Billed Ducks are mostly sedentary, migrating locally for water sources and feeding grounds. They feed on grasses and other vegetations, with insects sometimes being included in their diet.
