Currency

Items which can be exchanged for goods in the Shop and/or pulls in the Gacha. For strategies on collecting, saving, and spending in-game currencies, see our page on item use strategies.

Generic In-Game Currencies

Unique currencies which do not belong to a group or family, such as those of Medals or Tickets.

Medals

Medals are a class of in-game currency used exclusively in their own unique sections of the Shop.

Swimsuit Medal	x (x)	Used to acquire special Friend outfits and/or items in the Shop's annual Swimsuit Medal Exchange. Blue Swimsuit Medals allow a player to acquire swimsuit outfits from updates spanning several years, while gold Swimsuit Medals allow players to obtain the newest swimsuit outfits and those from recent updates.	Leading up to the opening of the Swimsuit Medal shop, Swimsuit Medals tend to be given out as a reward for completing missions and may be available in other areas of the Shop.	(description)	Swimsuit Medals that are not used during their event period will expire after the event period ends, and cannot be saved for the next event period.
Training Medal	x (x)	Used to acquire a variety of items in the Shop's Training Medal Exchange, some of which can only be found there.	Training Medals are obtained exclusively from the PvP Strength Contest game mode. Higher-difficulty battles grant more Training Medals.	(description)

Friend Enhancement

Pyroxenes

Pyroxenes are rare materials used to increase a Friend's maximum capabilities. Pyroxenes may also be referred to by English players as Augites.

While unable to be used as training materials directly, Glimmering Fragments can be traded at the Shop's Small Pyroxene Exchange to acquire Small Pyroxenes at a 1:1 ratio. This comes with a boost to her maximum level, and therefore a boost to the cap of her base stats, and unlocks a new outfit.	Small Pyroxenes can be obtained: as a reward for completing Friend Story levels in the Shop's Small Pyroxene Exchange from letting Friends play at the Picnic	(description)	If a player has more Small Pyroxenes than they are able to use on the Friend they are attuned to, they can exchange the spares for Glimmering Fragments at a 1:1 rate.

File:KF3LargePyroxene.png Large Pyroxene aka. Large/Purple Pyroxene/Augite	x (x)	Large Pyroxenes are items used to give a Friend additional Photo Pockets, allowing her to equip more Photos at a time. Some Friends unlock a very special outfit after they have unlocked 12 Photo Pockets.	Large Pyroxenes can be obtained: as a purchase or exchange in some event shops in the Shop's Large Pyroxene Exchange	(description)	If a player has unlocked four Photo Pockets on a given Friend, they can choose to either convert excess Large Augites into Brilliant Crystals, or use them to increase her Photo Pocket beyond four. Increasing the Photo Pocket count beyond four also grants a special gacha ticket that can be used to pull for a new Friend. It is generally advised to maximize a Friend's Photo Pockets before exchanging their Large Augites for Brilliant Crystals, as acquiring most Friends' Large Augites is a laborious task. If a player does want to trade in spare Large Augites, those of low base Kemo Class Friends who appear in the Gacha regularly, such as Chapman's Zebra and Blue Wildebeest, may be best. However, these Friends are also frequently useful in events such as Physical Fitness Tests, so maximizing their Photo Pockets is still a good idea, and the tickets acquired can give a player new Friends and/or Large Augites for rarer Friends.

Level Enhancement

Enhancing a Friend's Wild Release gives a boost to stats such as attack, defense, and HP.

Miracle Enhancement

Enhancing a Friend's Miracle will generally boost its primary effects, such as damage, healing, and/or buffing.

Wild Release Enhancement

Like with level enhancement, enhancing a Friend's Wild Release gives a boost to her stats such as attack, defense, and HP. Unlike with level enhancement, Wild Release enhancement has additional benefits: for one, it can boost the damage done by the Friend when using of each type of Order Flag, can boost her evasiveness stat, and upon levelling up a Friend's Wild Release for the first time, she will gain access to her Unique Trait skills.
