Park Story

Park Stories are text-based character dialogues found in Kemono Friends Kingdom, accessed through a dedicated menu in the game's Park area. Park Stories provide insight into the personalities and relationships of the characters involved in ways other facets of the game may not, and can additionally increase a participating Friend's Trust upon completion.

Overview

Park Stories typically take the form of either a recap of a past interaction between characters or one which is occurring in real-time, either able to involve various combinations of characters. Dialogues between two Friends and dialogues between one Friend and the player character are the most common arrangements, but Stories involving three or four characters also exist. In Stories where the player character is a participant, multiple dialogue options are presented when the player character acts or speaks; the choice is for purely cosmetic purposes, and does not impact the narrative of the Park Story in any way. Additionally, while the player character's Lucky Beast companion can appear in Park Stories, it tends to be present only in Park Stories involving the player character, due to the robot's trait of speaking exclusively to humans.

Completing a Park Story grants a reward of +8 Trust to all involved Friends who have less than 200% Trust. If a Friend who participates in a completed Park Story has already reached 200% Trust- the maximum possible Trust score for a single Friend- no reward is granted for her role in the Park Story, Trust or otherwise.

Accessing Park Stories

Park Stories appear in their dedicated menu two times per day, and only two per day will generate. If the player does not complete both of these Park Stories within their day, a third Park Story will generate; if there are already three Park Stories recorded, no new Park Stories will appear in the menu until at least one is completed and room in the queue is thus made.

The arrangement of Friends a player has assigned to play in their Park determines which Stories are eligible to generate in the Park Stories menu at a given time; in order for a particular Park Story to appear, all Friends relevant to that Park Story must be manually set to play in the Park via the dedicated Play menu. Park Stories involving Friends who have not been selected in the Play menu, who are only visiting, or who the player has not yet obtained cannot appear in the Park Stories menu, even if any or all other Friends relevant to that Park Story have been set to play in the Park.
