Short-Beaked Common Dolphin, referred to in the English version of the game as Common Dolphin, is a Friend that appears in Kemono Friends Kingdom.

Personality

Short-Beaked Common Dolphin is a playful Friend who tackles life with a childlike whimsy, bursting at the seams with energy at any given moment. Leaping, splashing, running, swimming, racing, anything's game with her! When it's time to wind down, Common Dolphin also loves to flop over for a midday nap with other Friends. Her emotions can run hot every now and again if things don't quite go her way, leading her to say things she doesn't mean, but hurting another Friend is never her intention; getting angry at someone else tends to feel worse for her than whatever got her worked up in the first place.

Blue Whale

Blue Whale acts as a motherly figure to a number of oceanic Friends, and it may be Short-Beaked Common Dolphin who relies on her in this way the most of them all. She is Short-Beaked Common Dolphin's counsel, comfort, best friend, and biggest supporter.

Chinese White Dolphin

Chinese White Dolphin is another oceanic Friend who sees Blue Whale as a motherly figure, and as such she has a bit of a sibling dynamic with Short-Beaked Common Dolphin. Her relaxed, mature demeanor serves as a valuable counterbalance to Short-Beaked Common Dolphin's abundant energy.

Narwhal

Narwhal acts as an older sister figure to Short-Beaked Common Dolphin and other marine Friends, using her lance to protect everyone as best she can.

Orca

Orca and Short-Beaked Common Dolphin have something of a sibling relationship, frequently playing and competing with one another. They can also butt heads, as siblings do, when a contest's result can't quite be agreed upon; luckily Blue Whale is there as a mediator to any dispute.

Strategy

Highly-serviceable early-to-mid-game Support Friend who falls off as a player unlocks superior units such as Chinese White Dolphin. She's pretty good for a 3-star unit, just not nearly on the level of some higher-ranked buffers. Her Combo bonus with Blue Whale shouldn't come into play too often as Blue Whale is generally not advisable to use if a player has any other healers, but the pair can be utilized on underwater Main Story stages.
