Chevrotain is a Friend that appears in Kemono Friends Kingdom. She serves as one of the game's deuteragonists, alongside Least Weasel.

Personality

Chevrotain is a shy and timid friend. She's easily scared by most things, and tends to avoid trouble when she can; she's all flight, no fight, and is very aware of this fact. She is also a Friend with such a rich curiosity about the world around her that she is driven to explore Kingdom's many distant reaches, especially its deep jungles and forests where she is most in her element. Given her low self-confidence, Chevrotain may not realize the bravery it takes on her part to make the leaps into the unknown that she so often does, knowing fully well that terrifying things could be just around any corner. Should danger rear its head, Chevrotain considers herself fortunate to have her fellow explorer and best friend Least Weasel by her side most all of the time; with Chevrotain's caution reining in Least Weasel's brazenness and Least Weasel's courage empowering Chevrotain to stand firm herself, this dynamic duo answers the call of adventure with aplomb as they gleefully travel wherever there is travelling to be done.

Role in the Plot

Main Story

Chevrotain is one of the central characters of Kemono Friends Kingdom's main story, being a deuteragonist alongside Least Weasel.

The aforementioned pair encounters a distressed Jinri on the banks of the Silent River, who is drowning in the depths after having suddenly come to consciousness whilst submerged. Chevrotain notices her plight and alerts Least Weasel, who leaps into the water to rescue her. After sorting Jinri out, Chevrotain introduces herself alongside her companion, before the three are chased away by several Celliens.

Relationships

Jinri

Chevrotain is one of Jinri's travelling companions, and the two have grown to be close and trusting friends. It was Chevrotain who first spotted Jinri drowning in the Silent River and alerted Least Weasel, who then dove in and fished her out.

Least Weasel

These two Friends are best pals and close companions, being joined at the hip most all of the time. Their greatly different personalities and outlooks can lead to some butting of heads, but they seem to always make up at the end of the day.
