King Cobra is a Friend that appears in Kemono Friends Kingdom.

Personality

“You wish to know the real me?”
—King Cobra's profile

The benevolent King Cobra serves as the King of Desert Castle. Though her flared hood, cool demeanor, and infamously powerful venom cause her to be a source of intimidation to many of Kingdom's Friends, those who can break past the stigma around her find a warm and sweet soul who would lay down her very life for the good of others.

Despite the position she holds, King Cobra likes to be given orders by others; she has a hard time saying no, and will often encourage others to demand her to do something rather than simply request it. While some may consider this behavior odd, she insists it is a reflection of her kingly duty to serve the people above her own wishes.

She has a habit of swaying back and forth rhythmically when lost in thought or simply at ease; some Friends have compared the motion to a cute dance.

Self-Introduction

Japanese English
? I am King Cobra, King of the Snakes. What are your orders?... I mean, how can I help?

Relationships

African Rock Python

African Rock Python acts as the Guard of Desert Castle. Likewise, she works closely with King Cobra as a protector, companion, and advisor.

Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey

Golden Snub-Nosed Monkey is one of the only Friends who isn't afraid to spar one-on-one with King Cobra, whose notorious venom scares even brave Friends away from the idea of a friendly match. The two share a strong mutual respect for one another.

Indian Peafowl

Indian Peafowl is a very good friend and occasional advisor to King Cobra, paying visits to the Desert Castle when she has the time. She helped found the Toxicology Research Team, a group seeking beneficial uses for King Cobra's venom.

Jinri

King Cobra is fond of Jinri, who is one of the few residents of Kingdom unafraid of King Cobra's venom, and has saved the young adventurer from danger on several occasions. Jinri likewise looks up to King Cobra, and thinks her venom is an amazing ability.

Toxicology Research Team

King Cobra joined the founding of the Toxicology Research Team, a group consisting of herself, Indian Peafowl, Eurasian Eagle-Owl, and Northern White-Faced Owl dedicated to dispelling the scary reputation King Cobra's venom has given her.

Tsuchinoko

Although African Rock Python has mixed feelings about Tsuchinoko's tendencies to snoop around the Desert Castle and allegedly play tricks, King Cobra is fond of the cryptic cryptid Friend. Her first time drinking alcohol was spent with Tsuchinoko, sharing a bottle of wine King Cobra had gifted to her after learning of her appreciation for alcohol; this also ended up being King Cobra's first time getting regrettably drunk.

Strategy

  • Her first Habit, Venomous Spirit, only increases the effectiveness of her own buff to the next Friend by 20-40%, and will not affect any other bonuses.
  • When referring to the dice points in the additive bonus on King Cobra's Miracle- "the number of Dice points generated times (x)"- only the single Dice she generates as part of that Miracle is considered; additional Dice generated by an Album such as Throw of Fate will not further increase the modifier. As such, Throw of Fate is not recommended on King Cobra for the purposes of boosting her Miracle's boost, but rather, its use would be to ensure the incoming Assault Friend has more Dice to work with overall. This is particularly useful with Tsuchinoko, who wants the Dice total to break 45.
    • However, with a well-levelled King Cobra, Sand Cat, and Tsuchinoko, a point may be reached where Tsuchinoko breaks 45 Dice points even without the help of a Throw of Fate Album used by King Cobra, especially on teams where Sand Cat is running that Album herself and/or where Tsuchinoko is running the Dice Cannon Album. When this becomes so, it is highly suggested to run Shining Assist on King Cobra instead, as the boost from that Album will generally outweigh the benefits of a few more Dice in a situation where the target of 45 points has already been surpassed- especially on a higher-level Shining Assist Album, which especially and specifically benefits Assault Friends such as Tsuchinoko.
