A list of all Friends based on large carnivoran mammals belonging to the family Ursidae, commonly called bears. Bear species can be found across the planet, being most notably absent only from Antarctica, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea, and are generally known for their power, intelligence, dedicated maternal care, and adaptability. All bear species are technically omnivorous, but their diets still vary greatly, from that of the hyper-carnivorous polar bears of the Arctic circle to the nearly strictly-herbivorous pandas of China and mainly-herbivorous spectacled bears of South America, to those of the sun bears and sloth bears of southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent respectively, which are both strongly-adapted to diets primarily composed of fruit and insects. Meanwhile, the various brown bear and black bear species found across Asia, Europe, and North America are well-known to eat just about anything they determine to be edible, from fruit to carrion to human garbage.

This list includes the Friend known as Bergman's Bear, who is based a subspecies of Kamchatka brown bear which is disputed to have possibly once existed, as well as multiple collab Friends who are based on bear characters.
